BSF jawan shoots dead four colleagues, kills self
In Punjab, a Border Security Force (BSF) soldier shot and killed four colleagues with his duty gun inside the BSF's headquarters in Kaza, Amritsar district of Punjab, and then killed himself.
Satyappa Siddappa Kilaragi (33) is a BSF soldier who was shot dead.
Satyappa, a warrior from the old Vantamuri village of Hukkare taluk in Belgaum district, had been serving at BSF for the past 13 years.
Family members said he was mentally depressed. Mentally depressed over personal debt and family matters. So it is said that he was shot this way.
The warrior, who was on a 1-month leave only 6 months ago, was found to be in a state of disrepair and was in a state of disrepair. Due to mental illness, he had not returned to duty despite completing his leave. It was learned that the family had been treated at Dharwad Mental Health Hospital shortly after in Belgaum.
Four BSF personnel, including a soldier who was shot dead in the incident, were seriously injured in the firing and are being treated at a private hospital in Amritsar. The deceased were Ram Binod, the head constables of Bihar, DS Thoraskar of Maharashtra, Rattan Singh of Jammu and Kashmir and Baljinder Kumar of Panipat, Haryana.
